Kitchens, baths, and everything in between.
West Peak is Walter Strach's remodeling and home improvement company, working homes across the Treasure Valley. Free estimates, a scope you can read, and a crew that cleans up before it leaves.
Attention to detail
The difference between a good remodel and a great one is in the parts nobody photographs — square corners, level runs, clean caulk lines, the seam where new work meets old. Walter is exacting about every one of them.
Straight answers
An honest price, an honest timeline, and an honest answer when something turns up behind a wall. Walter will not tell you what you want to hear, and he will not quote you a number he knows he cannot hold.
Faith and family
West Peak is a Christian, family-owned business. In practice that means treating your home the way Walter would want his own treated, and standing behind the work whether or not anyone is watching.
What we do
Two rooms decide how a house feels. We start there.
Kitchens and bathrooms are the work West Peak does most, and the work that changes how you live in a house day to day. Everything else we do grew out of homeowners asking us to stay and fix one more thing.
Kitchen remodeling
Cabinets, countertops, islands, backsplash, lighting and flooring — plus the plumbing and electrical behind the walls. Full gut renovations, or a refresh that keeps the layout you already like.

Repairs & handyman work
Drywall patches, doors that stick, rotted trim, dripping fixtures, the punch list you've been meaning to get to. It's also the easiest way to find out how we work before handing over a whole room.

Additions & bump-outs
More square footage when moving isn't the answer.
Whole-home renovation
Older Treasure Valley homes brought up to date, room by room.
Basement & garage conversion
Finished living space out of what you already own.
Decks, siding & exteriors
Outdoor living, siding, windows and doors.
How it works
Four steps, and you always know which one you're on.
Most remodeling complaints aren't about the finished work — they're about not knowing what's happening. Here's the whole sequence, start to finish.
Walkthrough
Walter comes out, looks at the space, and listens to what you're actually trying to fix. Bring photos and ideas. No charge, no pressure.
Written estimate
A line-item scope and price in writing, usually within a few days — so you can see what's included, what isn't, and where the money goes.
The build
A start date and a schedule. You get a text the night before we're coming, and a call the moment anything changes.
Walk it together
We go through the finished work side by side, fix what lands on the punch list, haul off the debris, and ask for final payment once you're satisfied.
Psalm 127:1
Unless the Lord builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Walter’s faith is not a line on a website. It is the reason he would rather lose a job than cut a corner on one, and the reason you will get the truth from him even when the truth costs him money.
Our work
Recent projects around the valley.
Kitchens, baths, an exterior, a fireplace, and a feature wall — all Walter’s own work. Where we have them, tap Before to see what he started with.
What homeowners say
Reviews carry more weight than anything we write.
Swap these three for real quotes from Google or Facebook, with first name and town. Three honest reviews beat ten polished ones.
“Real review goes here. The best ones are specific — what the job was, what went wrong and how Walter handled it, and whether the finish date held.”
First name, Town
“Second review. Pull these straight from Google so the wording matches what people find when they search the business.”
First name, Town
“Third review. If there aren't three yet, ask the last three customers — most say yes if you ask the week the job finishes.”

About
We don't just improve homes.
We build better lives.
That line is on the business card, and it is the reason the company exists. A kitchen that finally works, a bathroom that is not embarrassing to show guests, a door that closes — small things that quietly change how a house feels to live in.
Walter Strach came to the United States from Poland a little over twenty years ago, after serving in the Polish military. He brought those habits with him: show up when you said you would, do the job properly the first time, and leave the site cleaner than you found it.
He has spent the years since building with his hands — including his own house, which he remodeled himself, kitchens and all. West Peak Remodel is that same work, done for other people’s homes across the Treasure Valley. He is registered with the Idaho contractor board and carries insurance. Idaho contractor registration #8771443.
Two things run through everything he does. The first is detail: Walter would rather take the extra hour to get a run level or a seam invisible than hand back a job he knows is only most of the way there. The second is plain honesty — about what a job will cost, how long it will take, and what turned up once the wall came open.
He is also a Christian, and he does not keep that separate from the business. His faith is where the standard comes from: do the work right, tell the truth, finish what you started, and treat the people whose home you are standing in accordingly.
When he is not on a job he is at home with his wife and son, usually with a brown lab-and-pit-bull mix somewhere underfoot.
